-Skill work: Handstands
-Number one thing have an attitude that you can do this.
-elevate shoulders straight overhead body in a nice straight line. When you think about handstands, we want a nice straight line.
Warm-up 8 reps each of standing scapular warm up
Overhead pushing scapula up overhead
To the side, pushing scapulas out Then down, pushing scapulas down
Wrist circles
-Box Work
Knee’s - push ups
Pike (feet on box shoulders under body)
-Ground Work
Lunge to split leg kick ups
5-10 reps per leg
-Wall Work
10 sec hold, 4x, 1 min rest
Legs extended up the wall and gently kick off
Also mix in wall walks - for those that aren’t comfortable kicking up to the wall yet.
-Tips
Elevate the shoulders (push hard)
Grip the ground with your fingers
Look between your hands
Breathe
